Day trip to Montalcino





One cannot think of Tuscany without thinking of the beautiful landscape with the symbolic cypress trees. On our way to Montalcino we admired the beautiful Tuscan landscape once again and were mesmerized by the streets lined with cypress trees and hay bales.







Montalcino is a hilltown in Tuscany known for its red wine, the Brunello di Montalcino. Before we indulged in the wine tasting we went to see the main sights there. One of them is the Fortezza, a fortress built in 1361 with a gorgeous view over the town.

The narrow streets in the historical center are full of little shops selling leather goods and local delicacies.
