When there's snow on the ground, I like to pretend I'm walking on clouds

earstuds - idae (seoul, south korea), necklace - vintage, scarf - no name

shirt - dongdaemun (seoul), blazer - gift, jeans - tally weijl

A cup of coffee when it's minus 10 degrees outside = ♥

boots - express bus terminal, subway shopping (seoul)
My favorite shoes at the moment.

This nude blazer was a xmas gift. I love it!

So these are my latest purchases. I still couldn't lay eyes on the perfect winter coat though, but I'm pretty sure that I will find one at the Dongdaemun Night Market. Thanks to a friend I got to know the night market, which is well-stocked with shopping malls and keenly shoppers rummaging for the ideal piece. And the best thing about this market: the malls and shops are open till six in the morning! If you want to see stylish retailers and crazy shoppers DDM Night Market is the place to be!

Wednesday's Interior Decoration Inspiration: Bedrooms

In about a month I will move into a new apartment and I'm currently obssessed with interior decoration blogs to get some inspiration. I've decided to share with you some images I saved in a weekly post. This Wednesday I've chosen bedrooms. I want mine to be mostly white because I think it creates a wonderfully calming place, exactly what a bedroom is supposed to be in my opinion. Below are some of my favorites:

These days I'm really into furry rugs on hardwood floors. This example also shows that white isn't just white; using ivory, cream, antique white, and pale beige in different textures can add dimension to a room.

Mint has always been one of my favorite colors and I'd definitely like to incorporate it into my own bedroom as well.

A touch of black can also add lots of chicness to an otherwise white bedroom.

Girliness at its best.

Why not use a crate as a bedside table?

This branch clothing rack is a great DIY and definitely something I'll try to do as well.

Sunday Morning

Having recently purchased a waffle iron I couldn’t wait to bake my first waffles at home. They surely birghtened up our Sunday breakfast. Below is the recipe I used for three persons:

Ingredients:

160 g sugar
160 g softened butter (room temperature)
3 eggs
1 pack vanilla sugar
A little bit of rum (optional)
325 g flour
300 ml milk
2 tsp baking soda

In a bowl, combine the beaten eggs with the sugar and butter until you have a foamy batter. Add the vanilla sugar and rum. Then add the flour and baking soda, which will turn the batter quite sticky. Finally pour the milk, whisking well while doing so. You should get a smooth batter that is not runny.

Preheat your waffle iron. Follow your waffle maker’s instruction manual for this, I had mine at medium heat. I also greased the iron with a spray but that’s up to you. Pour an appropriate amount of batter into your hot waffle maker: this amount will vary from machine to machine. Cook until golden and crisp. Serve with whipped cream, berries, bananas, maple syrup… it’s really up to you!

Enjoy...

Where do we go from here?

I know it seems like ages since I posted an outfit but here’s finally one. The truth is, I’ve been postponing all the ideas I have for the blog but I hope to bring a little more structure and consistency to it in the next weeks so stay tuned... Feel free to share in the comments section what you would like to see more of on Styleseeking Zurich!

I got this wind coat a while back from Wholesale Dress and especially like the collar, which can be worn open like this or also overlapped. It comes in a variety of colors so have a look at the site if you're interested.

Seoul -3° C & Naketano

After handing in my last term paper I flew directly to Seoul to spend my semester break! And guess what, it's so much colder here than in Zurich! Fortunately I packed my winter parka from Naketano for the trip. The inner surface of the jacket is so fluffy and it keeps me really warm! The smart casual look makes it possible to wear it also with chic pieces!

Silly Season Portraits

Yes it is the season to be silly. Just add Music and lots and lots of drinks & bingo! There you have it. I took theses shots against my favorite wall though really I suppose I could have taken them almost anywhere. Much of the music on the night supplied by a Nokia phone transmitting directly into my FM tuner... WTF! "Thats why I got this model" Oh yeah!!! Sure beats the hell out of turning up with your old C-90 party tapes for those of you who can remember... And if you think there is a bit of a Latin American feel to the visage of most of these portraits (there certainly was to the music) well, you may just be right.
