Don't you shiver?

On and on from the moment I wake
To the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side
Just you try and stop me
I'll be waiting in line
Just to see if you care.

Speak your heart, don't bite your tongue

My mother : ) lent me her missoni scarf.
Scarf! You made my day!

Balmain Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Some of my personal favourites from the collection.

"It's more hard rock and punk this season," said Christophe Decarnin backstage before the show.

This designer doesn't put much stock in day clothes. In a word, his show was about legs. Bare legs. But there were a few cool looks that model types could pull off reasonably well during traditional business hours. They usually involved narrow-shouldered little jackets, loose cotton tanks or tees, and skinny tuxedo pants or jeans cropped a couple of inches above moccasin-fringe ankle boots.

Prada Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Some of my personal favourites from the collection.

After glimpsing a piece of lace in her studio and at first ignoring it, she [Miuccia Prada] found the handmade fabric crept up on her, to the point where it took over almost the entire collection. "I thought using a little bit here and there is tacky, so we've had all Switzerland working on couture lace. They're in shock," Prada laughed after the show.

"When you are working on something simple, the surface is important. I wanted to do minimal, something that was feminine and strong—but in the end, not so sexy. And there are a lot of references to early nineties Prada in there."

Rock 'n' Roll in the Pitt St Mall

Late night shopping in the Pitt Street Mall really but I couldn't help think of the mighty Finn brothers & Split Enz when I saw these three strolling along. Its all about the hair, and the clothes and thats one fine bike too! OK, 'I See Red' might have been released in 1979 but that doesn't mean the 80s aren't back. If you want the proof check out the video at the bottom of this post.

Fashion shot with hair and bike, Street fashion Pitt Street Sydney

This Man hails from Brooklyn but we found him working the shoes in the shop right behind him in this shot. We needed to wait for him to finish his shift before we could get his shot and I have to say this store is doing great trade!

Well while Kaori & I were waiting for Simon(?) above to finish work we decided the shoe shop made a great background for the nights shots so here they are.

Justify my love

Wanting, needing, waiting...

At least I got these ones to make the waiting for "the real thing" bearable...

Misty blue

I think of things we used to do,
then my whole world
turns misty blue.

Think Big

I got this vintage bag as a gift from my grandfather last summer. Big bags are a must for me as I like to carry around all my belongings with me. :) Well, not everything of course, but today it was my laptop, Starbucks tumbler and a bunch of uni stuff.
Once a guy teased me calling my bag a "Mary Poppins bag" as I kept pulling out things you normally wouldn't expect. What can I say, I like to be prepared, just in case... ;)

Gold-colored

"I love it. It's my thing. Let it go!"

I'm in a daze

Normally.. women are addicted to shoes.
But not me.
I'm in some way a blazer addict.
So... am I not a real woman? ; )
The scarf is from h&m which I bought a few days ago.
The colour is neither green nor brown.
It's like dark olive green.
The blazer is from zara and kinda old but still my no.1!

Marrickville Fashion @ The Factory

I shot these three cool guys taking a ciggie break (me and them) during the 'Sounds of Failure' gig late last month. it was a stylin' night in more ways than one.

Don't function like I did before

I sleep no more
I dream no more
There's nothing here To wake up for
I talk no more
I sing no more
Don't function likeI did before
Because he doesn't live here anymore
He hardly calls at all
Now when he's gone I find myself lost
Staring at the wall

Smooth criminal

My latest craving: X X L jackets
By the way, the model is Ai Tominaga.
Isn't she lovely.
Sigh.

You're the piece of gold that flushes all my soul

These are Fabio Conti-shoes.
I only wore them twice although they're really comfortable..
But why do I feel flashily-dressed when I put them on?
Ahh.. I really have to feel at ease with eye-catching objects.
I gotta learn that.

Day to Night

My first try with over the knee socks. I wore a black tube top under the vest as a skirt. In the next picture you can see how easily you can change a day look into an evening look by just adding different shoes and another purse.

For this look I took off the grey west and the shirt and wore ankle boots. Here you can see "the tube top turned into a skirt" better. Two years ago I stitched some gold sequins on it to make it a bit more interesting. I think I'm going to wear it as a skirt from now on... ;)

Sky high

Tried them on at Zara and even though they were too expensive for synhetic shoes I seriously thought about buying them. If it wasn't the end of summer (or better said already almost winter here) I would have bought them.

The heel is very high but still comfortable because of the platform. I felt like a giant. :) Who cares?! Well, sometimes I do. But never mind.

Definitely crave worthy...

Bouncing off clouds

Well you can stare all day at the sky
but that won't bring her back
That won't bring her back
You say you're waiting on fate
But I think fate is now
I think fate is now
Waiting on us...

Seasons change

"Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away."

Carrie Bradshaw

Dedicated to my lovely cousin Ozlem...

Happy birthday! Wish I could be with you...

Take me where the sun is shining...

Before sharing with you my fall/winter outfits, I wanted to post some pics of my vacation in Barcelona, London and Istanbul. Summer is definitely my favourite season of the year, so I'm a bit sad it's over. The weather in Zurich is already very cold, so I guess these will be the only summer outfits from me you'll get to see.

These jeans shorts were a summer staple of mine, as you can see in the following pics. :) Here I paired them with a studded belt and fringe boots, which I bought in Barcelona.

Same shorts here. This time worn with a black cardigan and black gladiator sandals.

It got a bit chilly in London, so I wore a plaid button-down shirt with a blazer, black tights and flats.

I bought this maxi dress in a shop in Istanbul. Only wore it a couple of times, but I really liked the airy feel of the fabric.
